the snag

for the third year in a row i've had to miss most of the state of the union because of stupid night classes. you'd think the professors would let us have the night off so we can watch it. even though the crap that bush says is all crap we hear in every other speech he makes, and that any new idea or promise or proposal won't see the light of day in the coming year, there is so much hype prior to his address, that i feel almost un-american or un-patriotic not to watch it. oh well. i'm sure i didn't miss anything. i caught the last twenty minutes or so and it was cool seeing the boss and all the other senators in the audience that i would see five days a week. brought me back home for a moment.

back to the oscar list, actress in a supporting role should go to michelle williams in brokeback. although i haven't yet seen a single other movie from that category, she was so great and sweet in that movie. and i don't like rachel weisz. something just turns me off with her. maybe it's because her name is pronounced as veisz and i think that's dumb. if she wants her last name to sound like that, then she should change her name. for writing/adapted screenplay, my money goes to brokeback. i would say munich, but it's just too complex. it's like they took the book or wherever it originally came from, and just said, "ok, here's your script." granted i haven't read the original works of the movies, but it seems like they did a better job of transforming brokeback from paper to film. there is a lot more showing and not telling in brokeback, whereas munich is vice versa in that it's just a billion facts laid out in three hours.

so i hit a snag with 12dp. because of stupid politics between the payment processors and their merchants (i guess such a thing exists), 12dp had to get rid of emo and only go with faggoty stormpay. this sucks because i spent a lot of times getting set up with emo and emo had much lower fees. i'm still going through with everything, but it just sucks because i have to get all set up with stormpay now. and i have to get certified with netiba, which by doing that will lower my stormpay fees and the processing time to get my money. bad thing is that netiba takes probably over a week to get certified and it costs $19.95 a year. however, in a few months i'll be making $19.95 an hour. 12dp did say that are trying to put together a new site that only works with emo. the second that hits i'll be all over that. until then i'll just have to deal with stormpay's fees. i've made a nice little spreadsheet to track everything. the second i've made one cent of profit, i'll post that sucker in my links (also pending the wife's permission). no point now in just seeing how much i'm under. what i would recommend to those out there that are somewhat interested is to get an account set up with stormpay. then get your email address certified with netiba. then drop $6 into 12dp or however much you are willing to start out with.

here is what a moderator described 12dp as for those still confused:
